And now for…

More than 30 years ago, Jack Scruby introduced us to N-Gauge (10/12mm) miniature figures. He may not have been the first to produce this scale, but he was for sure the first with the most variety (Ancients, 30YW, SYW/AWI, Napoleonic, ACW, African Colonial and Afrika Korps – WWII)…

It was 10 years ago that Lance Runolfsson brought us the first 15mm Hawaiians…

We haven’t been around all that long (3 years now), but we are pleased to produce both Jack Scruby’s N-Gauge ranges and Lance Runolfsson’s 15mm Hawaiians. So, in keeping with this fine tradition of “firsts” we are launching another first; the first “all new” 10/12mm release from HistoriFigs. A release, which also happens to be the first 10/12mm Hawaiians!

Inspired by the works of Jack Scruby and Lance Runolfsson and sculpted by Jason Miller, there are more than 16 different figures plus an outrigger canoe with crew and as a bonus, a tiki god (suitable for use with our 15mm figures as well). Each “basic” pack contains 40 plus figures AND and outrigger canoe (with crew of two) AND a tiki god. This basic pack (which contains enough figures for a complete DBA army) retails for $7.50. Need more Outrigger canoes? Well, these are available in packs of 3 for $3.50 – and if you need more tiki gods, these too come in 6 packs for $2.00. Later this month we will introduce additional packs – smaller packs of common figures as well as larger, or mega packs with hundreds of figures. Order by description.

As a special bonus we are offering a couple of bonus items:

1) in 54mm a Hula Dancer AND 2) also in 54mm King Kamehameha.

To receive your “free” bonus figure(s) you should:

1) Purchase $25 or more from HistoriFigs (order must include Hawaiians in either 10mm or 15mm) and receive your choice of the Hula Dancer or King Kamehameha “free”

2) Purchase $50 or more from HistoriFigs (order must include Hawaiians in either 10mm or 15mm) and receive both 54mm figures”free”.

The above offers expire at midnight July 31 2006

3) Be one of the first 10 people to order the new 10mm Hawaiians and receive a “random” selection of: the Hula Dancer or King Kamehameha “free”

The above offer expires as soon as we receive our 10th order which included the new 10mm Hawaiians

4) All customers who order Hawaiians in either 10mm or 15mm will be entered into a monthly drawing for a free 54mm figure – winner’s choice between the Hula Dander and King Kamehameha

The above offer expires midnight 31 December 2006 (last drawing will be held on 1 January 2007

And lastly, if you purchase either the Hula Dancer or King Kamehameha ($5.50 each, unpainted), receive the other figure with no additional cost – offer expires midnight 31 July 2006

Tornado Delays Updates

Our recent tornado (last night) has caused a bit of a delay in our web updates.

We are all ok-fine and our biggest damage is the 2 dozen or more trees down, many blocking the driveway (access to the house).

Today and the rest of the week will be filled with clean up. We’ll see what we can do to get some new pictures up tonight or tomorrow…

Tiki Time!

TIKI:
The wood carvings of Hawaiian mythology are known as Tikis. In the days of the ancient Hawaiians they were carved for various reasons such as: good luck, protection, fertility, strength, power, love, and other strong family (ohana) values…

So here we have it, the first photo from the new range…

All good Hawaiian themed games need a tiki – don’t they?

Our tiki stands about 15mm tall, and should add that extra something to your Hawaiian themed games – DBA perhaps?

Tomorrow we take the wraps off the remainder of the new range. Be sure to check in tomorrow night…

Nightly Kamehameha Update

Time for the nightly update…

Last time I mentioned that I was re-mastering one of Jack’s 54mm figures; well, I’m not quite done yet, but we’ve posted a photo of a casting from the production mold (as used by Scruby Miniatures). The model pictured has been cleaned up considerably, as it was cast from a mold that is worn out. The newly re-mastered figure will go into a new mold and the castings will be crisp and clean.

So, the figure I’m working on is none other than King Kamehameha! I bet you saw that one coming from a mile away, or maybe not…

In any event we will still give away castings to the first two (2) people to send me an email message requesting a figure – send your message to my email account: mike@historifigs.com

I just finished inking the subject of the picture for tomorrow’s update. I’m also seeing what type of historical background I can write up to go with the picture. So, look for another update tomorrow night.

And Remember there are only seven (7) more days until Kamehameha day!
